A payment system is any system used to settle financial transactions through the transfer of monetary value.
Issuance of electronic money and acceptance of payments in payment terminals (ATM) in Moldova are carried out by licensed Payment systems.
The activity of payment systems in Moldova is regulated by the "Law on Payment Services and Electronic Money", no. 114 of 18 May 2012 with amendments and additions.
To connect to the Payment system, the Seller / Service Provider (Merchant) must conclude a contract for accepting cash payments with the selected Payment System.
We offer technical connection of the Merchant's website to the Payment Gateways of Payment Systems through the e-Cont.md SERVICE.
(*) electronic money - means electronically, including magnetically, stored monetary value as represented by a claim on the issuer which is issued on receipt of funds (other than electronic money) for the purpose of making payment transactions and which is accepted by a person other than the electronic money issuer. The electronic money institutions which obtained the license for the activity of issuing electronic money, additional have the right to be engage in the activities described at the article 88 according to the Law.
Separately, we would highlight the possibility of accepting payments through the Government Service of Electronic Payments MPay.
From a technical point of view, we would consider MPay as one of the possibilities for accepting payments through Payment Terminals.
